Week 1- Day 1: My house The first week of filming was good. We planned the shots we were going to do and we did them all in that day. We didn't complete everything as we wanted to stretch it over all the time we had to make sure all the shots were of quality, how we wanted them, and were putting across exactly what we wanted and also, some of the props we needed were missing so we had to move some of the shots to a different day.
Day 2: We shot at my house over the weekend and we re-done a few shots and done a few more. We still didn't have our props, as we were indecisive of what type of box and weapon we wanted to use, so we decided to do those shots another day.
Week 2 - Day 1: Problems & Alan's House
We had a dilemma as I was apart of Bugsy Malone so wasn't around to allow them to film at my house so the group decided that we would relocate the filming to Alan's house.
Day 2: Alan's house
I was't around for that day because of Bugsy Malone (again) but I was informed everything went well and everyone had a chance to film as there were parts where the actors weren't needed so they had a chance to be apart of the filming, whereas usually it would only be me and Atilla filming.
Week 4: Alan's house and Some of the shots needed re-doing
During the half term everyone was given a day, if they needed to, to use the equipment to film and after re-watching the shots back we saw that we need to make a few adjustments so we filmed during the half-term and it went well. We finished all our shots and we were, finally, ready to edit.
Week 5: Alan's house after some pointers
We had to create our rough cut opening and after showing it to.our class and teacher we were given feedback points on where we could improve. After picking out the points we thought would help us the most, we decided to re film some shots as some of the things we wanted to put across through our thriller were not evident to our audience and some parts were unclear.
Week 6: 48 hours before the deadline
The major problem after redoing our shots was lighting and camera angles. So 48 hours before our deadline we made a decision to re-film the shots that were too dark and framed the shots properly so it was the right angle. This was our last day of filming, everything was done! All that was left was to edit
We spent longer than we planned on filming and on of the reasons is because we started of organised and planned well, but me being apart of Bugsy Malone, changed things and everything got kinda messy and we were making silly mistakes which could've been avoided if we were better organised. I overall liked filming, it was fun and I got to learn and understand more about the camera.
